About Sarat

About me

My unique life experiences, including living in five countries across three continents and navigating the challenges of significant life changes, have equipped me with a diverse skill set that I bring to my practice.

While raising my children, I gained invaluable experience working in a school setting as a counsellor, administrator and teaching assistant.  As a teaching assistant, I often worked with neurodivergent children. I have also worked as an HR Administrator. These roles have enabled me to develop strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of human behaviour, and the ability to create a safe and supportive environment for individuals to thrive.

I recognise the importance of addressing the whole person, encompassing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. With a focus on whole-person health, I integrate an understanding of the impact of nutrition, exercise, and mental well-being.

I qualified as a counsellor in 2017 and am a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I am an accredited senior practitioner coach.

Client Testimonials

“Sarat’s coaching came at a time when I needed it the most in my life. I was going through a transition in my career and needed help navigating through this process. Since then I have been having regular sessions exploring different topics which has helped me see things in a different way and shifted my mindset. I’ve never done coaching before but this has benefited me to work towards my goals and go through difficult situations step by step. I would highly recommend Sarat to anyone considering coaching, she has a unique style and is able to analyse, and come up with a plan on how to move forward.”

“The coach was able to use gentle, probing questions to encourage me to open up, recognize my situation and come up with strategies to improve.”

Sharmaine

I started coaching sessions with Sarat during a challenging period with my health, work and personal life. Her kind, warm and gentle nature made me feel instantly at ease. Sarat encouraged me to discuss a range of topics and work out for myself the top priorities. She worked flexibly around the restraints of my physical health. I felt that she was empathetic and in tune with the emotions I was feeling when expressing the issues I was facing and supported me to think about ways to improve and overcome them.

The sessions had positive outcomes for me, as I went away and researched things/ took steps to improve on the issues I was having. It changed my behaviour and broke the cycle to help me move forward positively on one issue, whereas otherwise I wouldn’t have changed. Sarat has been very impactful on my life and helped me, to help myself to move forward.

I am truly grateful for the sessions I have had with Sarat so far and I have recommended her coaching to both friends and family
