What is the difference between counselling and coaching?
Coaching is goal and solution focused. Coaching focuses on the present and the future. It is an equal partnership between you and the coach. Coaching tends to be time limited. Counselling focuses on understanding personal history and the past. The focus is on alleviating distress and working through personality issues.
How long do sessions last?
Coaching sessions typically range from 90 to 120 minutes in duration.
Counselling lasts 50 minutes.
What is the frequency and gap between each session?
Counselling is usually weekly.
Coaching sessions are scheduled to occur every two to four weeks.
Is there a minimum number of sessions?
